Neil Cohn is a commodities trader, market builder, and infrastructure strategist with decades of experience across physical metals, environmental markets, energy, and structured offtake. He began his career at Glencore during its formative years, where he rose to run global zinc and lead trading books and helped structure long-term supply relationships between emerging-market producers and major industrial consumers.
Neil later became one of the early pioneers in carbon and climate markets, helping build and finance renewable energy credit and carbon-trading platforms before those markets were widely institutionalized. He was a co-founder of Natsource’s carbon finance business and later helped build Macquarie’s environmental markets platform in the Americas. His career has centered on creating tradable, financeable markets where physical supply, regulatory frameworks, and institutional capital need to be brought together.
At AmForge, Neil brings the market-making discipline required to turn critical minerals and nuclear fuels from fragmented project opportunities into scalable supply systems. His role spans business development, strategic partnerships, commodity strategy, structured finance, offtake design, and the creation of market mechanisms that can align U.S. government priorities with private-sector capital and commercial execution.
