Jim Keenan brings AmForge senior institutional investment experience from one of the world’s largest asset managers, with deep expertise in private debt, leveraged finance, credit markets, infrastructure debt, real estate debt, distressed and opportunistic credit, and investment-platform leadership. He served as Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Private Debt at BlackRock, where he helped lead a broad private debt platform spanning infrastructure, real estate debt, direct lending, opportunistic credit, and distressed strategies.
Over nearly two decades at BlackRock, Jim helped expand the firm’s capabilities across leveraged finance, private credit, liquid credit, hedge fund, and multi-strategy credit products. He previously served as CIO and Global Head of Credit for BlackRock Alternatives and helped build and lead BlackRock’s public-market credit and leveraged finance business. His work included portfolio management, investment strategy, investment committees, investment process, risk management, and performance oversight across major institutional investment platforms.
