Christos A. Makridis

Advisor — AI, Economic Policy & Technology Strategy

Christos A. Makridis brings AmForge a rare combination of applied economics, AI policy, federal technology experience, data science, and institutional research. He is an Associate Research Professor at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, a Research Affiliate at ASU’s Global Security Initiative, a Digital Fellow at Stanford University’s Digital Economy Lab, Senior Researcher at Gallup, and a policy adviser and entrepreneur focused on the intersection of technology, labor markets, finance, and human flourishing.

Christos’s federal experience includes serving as a Senior Adviser on the National Artificial Intelligence Institute at the Department of Veterans Affairs and work on the White House Council of Economic Advisers, where he managed cybersecurity, technology, and space activities. His research focuses on how emerging technologies, geopolitical dynamics, regulation, and policy shape labor markets, productivity, financial systems, and the way people work and live. He holds doctorates in economics and management science and engineering from Stanford University and has published extensively across economics, finance, technology policy, cybersecurity, management, and law.

At AmForge, Christos advises on AI policy, technology strategy, economic analysis, federal innovation, and the data-driven evaluation of national-priority infrastructure. His background is especially relevant to AmForge’s work at the intersection of AI infrastructure, critical minerals, nuclear energy, federal technology priorities, capital allocation, and strategic industrial policy. He helps connect AmForge’s execution model to the broader economic and technological forces shaping U.S. competitiveness, including AI, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and the policy frameworks needed to support American leadership.
